Noble & Wylie

Family is important. The name is in honour of this, Noble being my wife’s maiden name (my wife grew up in Sheffield and introduced me to this workshop, she has had hand-dyed striped shoes made here since the 90’s) and Wylie being my Irish mothers maiden name. As a combination I loved it, English and Irish, honourable and playful. Perfect.

Home is important too. I’ve moved around a lot over the last 20 years, but have put down roots on the edge of the Peak District, in the beautiful and inspiring city of Sheffield. The logo is in recognition of this wonderful place I get to call home. Known as the city built on seven hills, and having five rivers running through it, I’ve used the heptagon and interpreted the layout of the rivers within. Simple. Honest. Everything is made by hand right here, in my Sheffield workshop.
