Freelance & creative collabs

Kenneth McClure works as a freelance designer maker, with a background in design development & sampling, design & applied arts, and craft, who runs his own studio workshop in Sheffield, England. He practices having an open minded, freeing workspace, allowing for the development of creative ideas, and working on collaborative projects with other artists, designers, makers and business owners.

Most recently, alongside running his shoe studio/workshop, Kenneth has worked with local artist Yuen Fong Ling on the Towards Memorial project, developing a sandal based on the historic works of the inspirational human rights activist Edward Carpenter https://www.yuenfongling.com/the-carpenter-sandal .

Smaller recent collaborative projects have been with Sheffield based bespoke box maker Becca Hopkinson https://www.bebabespoke.co.uk , as well as developing specialist products with creative maker Natalia Pearce of local climbing rope upcycling brand Scavenger https://madebyscavenger.com .
